Introduction
CRGO or Cold Rolled Grain Oriented Steel, popularly known as electrical steel, transformer core, lamination steel, silicon electrical steel, silicon steel, etc. is a specialty steel designed to produce certain magnetic properties. It contains relatively high amounts of silicon, usually 3% and designed in a way that the optimum properties are developed increasing electrical resistance and lowering core losses in electrical equipment such as transformers.
